Family Friends Home Care is a Nurse Registry that provides care in homes of seniors, disabled children and adults. We are a family/friend owned and operated agency. Our goal is to try to keep clients in their own home where they feel safe, secure and somewhat independent. When Family Friends Home care is looking to hire caregivers (CNA’s and HHA’s) we interview them and pick them as if they were going to come and work in our home for our family. If we would not want the caregiver in our home then we do not want them in a client’s home. Our Clients are very important to us. We feel that the client and their family member need to feel that the Client is getting everything they need and more, and still feel like they have choices.
Family Friends Home Care feels that without the caregivers they have they would not be who they are! Without these amazing caregivers we would not be able to provide the quality of care we do for each and every client. Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter once wrote, “There are only four kinds of people in this world. Those who have been caregivers, those who currently are caregivers, those who will be caregivers, those who will need caregivers.” Her comment is true today more than ever before. We are a time where we are a Country of caregivers. The number of Americans that provide the majority of help needed by relatives or friends who are elderly, ill, or disabled, is approximately 50 million. These numbers are only going to grow. People 65 and over are expected to double in the next 40 years, and the number of those over 85 will more than triple.
With that being said Family Friends is always looking to hire new CNA’s and HHA’s with the proper qualifications. At Family Friends Home Care we need them to have a FDLE Level 2 Background, we do a local background every 3 months, and they need a valid CNA License or Home Health Aide Certificate, CPR, Driver’s License, Car Registration and Car Insurance.
